He wasn’t trying to sell me something I didn’t need, but instead gave advice that was truly in my best interest.

Is This the Right Fit?

This is for veterans building a serious business who want speed, legal clarity, and practical support during launch.

Great Fit

  • You are ready to launch and want legal setup done correctly now.
  • You want to pursue VOSB or SDVOSB opportunities with a clear strategy.
  • You may qualify for Texas veteran-owned business filing advantages.
  • You value fast execution with expert support over legal guesswork.

Not the Best Fit

  • You only want the cheapest filing option.
  • You are still casually exploring and not ready to operate.
  • You are comfortable doing all legal setup and compliance research alone.
  • This is a low-priority side project with no near-term revenue goals.

Veteran business owner discussing launch plans

Most veteran founders we support are optimizing for faster execution and fewer expensive mistakes.

Veteran Launch Advantages: Fee Waiver + Certification Path

Veteran-owned businesses can qualify for meaningful advantages, but only if structure, ownership, and documentation are handled correctly.

Step 1: Confirm Veteran Eligibility

We verify documentation requirements and map your practical next steps.

Step 2: Build a Durable Legal Foundation

We align formation and governance docs to reduce risk and support growth.

Step 3: Execute Certification Strategy

You get a clear plan for VOSB or SDVOSB readiness and follow-through.

Texas Filing Advantage

Eligible state filing fees waived

For qualifying new Texas entities owned entirely by honorably discharged veterans. Each owner needs a Veteran Verification Letter from the Texas Veterans Commission. When the state fee is waived, we also waive its processing charge. See the Texas requirements.

VOSB/SDVOSB Positioning

Contracting opportunity access

Supports federal and other procurement conversations.

Typical Window

30-90 days

Depends on readiness and quality of documentation.

What We Help You Do

  • Form and govern your entity with clear ownership/control logic.
  • Integrate VOSB/SDVOSB readiness into launch planning.
  • Prepare Texas veteran-owned business fee waiver documents where eligible.
  • Get direct legal answers while you are actively launching.

Common Mistakes We Prevent

  • Relying on generic templates that do not support real ownership/control scenarios.
  • Ignoring certification strategy until after launch pressure increases.
  • Missing fee waiver and administrative opportunities because paperwork is incomplete.
  • Losing time on disconnected DIY steps with no integrated plan.

DIY Filing vs Strategic Launch Support

Filing is only one small step. The real risk is launching without integrated legal structure, contracts, and support.

DIY Services ($200-500)

What you get:

  • Entity filing submitted
  • Generic template documents
  • No veteran-specific strategy or waiver guidance
  • No ongoing legal support while launching
  • No integrated plan for contracts and compliance

Good for low-stakes paperwork only.

Veteran Launch FAQ

Can you guarantee VOSB or SDVOSB approval?
No. We provide legal and document guidance to improve readiness, but final determinations are made by the certifying authority.
How long does veteran certification usually take?
Typical windows are around 30-90 days after submission, depending on readiness and document quality.
Is the Texas filing fee waiver automatic?
No. In the Launch intake, select Texas and request the veteran filing-fee waiver. We will assume it applies at checkout, so neither the $300 state filing fee nor its $24 processing charge is collected upfront. Each owner must provide a Veteran Verification Letter from the Texas Veterans Commission, and Form 05-904 is required for the filing. We will verify eligibility and bill the standard $324 combined charge separately if the waiver does not apply.
Do I need certification before launching?
Not always. Most clients should first secure structure and contracts, then execute certification as part of launch strategy.
What if I am not sure this is the right time?
Book the consultation. We can quickly help you decide whether to launch now, sequence differently, or start with a lower-commitment path.
